Spontaneity and intuition are the drive and expression of the painting compositions by Marita Katharina Dymny. She develops her very own artistic liveliness: skilled in the representational as well as the abstract, her technique of acrylic artworks with natural materials such as palm fibres and grated stones, occasionally in combination with gold leaf, invites the observer to reflect. Beyond pure aesthetics, this multi-layered materiality methaphorically conveys the artist's energetic connection to nature. Her works reflect the infinite cycle of nature and life in time and space.

Marita Dymny: Symbolic Abstraction and Material Composition
"Spontaneity and intuition are the drive and expression of Marita Dymny's painterly compositions. "Painting and designing is a great inner need for me, to which I relate freedom, life, meditation, joy and individuality", emphasizes the artist from Niederkassel-Rheidt with a second residence in Alicante/Spain.
Marita Dymny develops her very own artistic liveliness: skilled in figurative as well as abstract art, her mixed technique of acrylic colours and natural materials - such as vegetable fibres and crushed stones in occasional combination with gold leaf - invites the viewer to deepen her knowledge. Beyond pure aesthetics, this multi-layered materiality metaphorically conveys the artist's energetic connection to nature, to whose treasures she wants to refer the observer.
The circle - universal symbol of all cultures and epochs - is thus purposely at the centre of Marita Dymny's group of works, and can be understood as the innermost core of her symbolic abstraction and material composition. In the geometric form without beginning and end, the artist visualizes the infinite course of nature and life in time and space. Motif and materials connect at a subtle level of meaning.
Since 2002, Marita Dymny has regularly shown her works at solo and group exhibitions in Germany and Spain".

In my paintings, colour and materiality enter into an aesthetic and energetic-metaphoric connection, reflecting the infinite course of nature and life in time and space.
